Introduction to the use, main material and structural characteristics of the wafer check valve

Check valve refers to a valve that automatically opens and closes the valve flap by relying on the flow of the medium itself to prevent the backflow of the medium, also known as check valve, one-way valve, reverse flow valve and back pressure valve. The check valve is an automatic valve whose main function is to prevent the backflow of the medium, the reverse rotation of the pump and the driving motor, and the discharge of the container medium. Check valves may also be used on lines supplying auxiliary systems where pressure may rise above system pressure.

   1. Wafer check valve application:

The check valve is installed in the pipeline system, and its main function is to prevent the backflow of the medium. The check valve is an automatic valve that is opened and closed depending on the pressure of the medium. Wafer check valve is suitable for nominal pressure PN1.0MPa~42.0MPa, Class150~25000; nominal diameter DN15~1200mm, NPS1/2~48; working temperature -196~540℃ on various pipelines, used to prevent Medium backflow. By choosing different materials, it can be applied to various media such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, strong oxidizing medium and uric acid.

Second, the main material of the wafer check valve:

There are cast iron, carbon steel, low temperature steel, dual phase steel (F51/F55), titanium alloy, aluminum bronze, INCONEL, stainless steel SS304, SS304L, SS316, SS316L, chrome molybdenum steel, Monel (400/ 500), 20# alloy, Hastelloy and other metal materials.

    3. Structural features of the wafer check valve:

    1. The structural length is short, and its structural length is only 1/4~1/8 of the traditional flange check valve

    2. Small size and light weight, its weight is only 1/4~1/20 of the traditional flange check valve

    3. The valve disc closes quickly and the water hammer pressure is small

    4. Both horizontal pipes or vertical pipes can be used, easy to install

    5. The flow channel is smooth and the fluid resistance is small

    6. Sensitive action and good sealing performance

    7. The valve disc travel is short and the closing impact force is small

    8. The overall structure is simple and compact, and the shape is beautiful

    9. Long service life and reliable performance

Fourth, the common faults of the check valve are:

    1. The valve disc is broken

The pressure of the medium before and after the check valve is in a state of close balance and mutual “saw”. The valve disc is often beaten with the valve seat, and the valve disc made of some brittle materials (such as cast iron, brass, etc.) is broken. The preventive method is to use a check valve with a disc as a ductile material.

    2. Medium backflow

The sealing surface is damaged; impurities are trapped. By repairing the sealing surface and cleaning impurities, backflow can be prevented.
